L'oignon

Stab an onion and it stabs you back

Stinging your eyes when you give it a hack

Peel it and it gives you the power

To see that life's not an ivory tower

" Cry, says the onion, cause it's not always fun

Cry, says the onion, cause you only have one!"

No! It's O.K., it's part of the role

Tears are only good soap for the soul.

Radis

Cherries of the ground

Cherries all year round

Earth bowl of fish

Sharp sweets in a dish

Round, oblong, white with red

One by one, not overfed

With bread and butter and salt

Out in the sun, afriendly halt

But if the radish is not your cup of tea

You eat the peanuts a d pass them to me.

Epinard

Popeye is an enthusiast

With his " Gimme some spinach fast!"

Old Popeye is strong like a lion

Cause spinach is chock-full of iron

But washing a bunch is a big job

Leaf by leaf without a sob

Most people throw o t the stems

They just don't realise they're gems

Or too lazy to sort them out

Or don't know what they're about

Wereas I try in life to get it all

Leaves and stems and have a ball!
